Their site ran on WordPress with a third-party theme, and choosing an apartment came down to lists and PDF floor plans. Buyers couldn’t see the main thing — where exactly a unit sat in the building and on which floor. The catch was the theme: it was built by other developers, so reworking its core was risky. The solution had to drop into any page without touching the theme and without breaking when it updated. 03 — SOLUTION What we did. ------------ A standalone WordPress plugin: an interactive, three-step apartment-picker that drops into any page with a single shortcode — independent of the site’s theme. 01 \#PLUGIN ### A standalone plugin, not a theme edit We built the feature as a standalone plugin with a shortcode. We left the third-party theme untouched — it drops into any page and doesn’t break when the theme updates. 02 \#FLOORS ### Floor selection on the image Interactive floor polygons over an image of the building. Hovering highlights the floor, a click moves to the next step. 03 \#UNIT ### The unit and its plan Next the buyer picks a unit on the floor image and sees the plan of that exact apartment.
